Inconvenient Chats: Teaser
Show notes
Climate change is real, accelerating, and profoundly urgent - yet the world isn’t changing quickly or deeply enough. In our experience, many important conversations are being avoided, maybe unintentionally. They're inconvenient: messy, emotionally charged, a little uncomfortable, ideologically polarized, or simply complex. This is why we have started Inconvenient Chats, our podcast to create room for some of these conversations – not with all the answers, but with honest questions. We believe that if something makes you uncomfortable, that’s often a sign it’s worth exploring.
If you want to give feedback you can write to kaisa@inconvenientchats.com or jan@inconvenientchats.com.
If you have a topic on your mind that you have always wondered about send us an e-mail as well with topic recommendations and we’ll make it less inconvenient for all of you.

Kaisa: Climate change is real, accelerating and profoundly urgent. Yet the world isn't changing quickly or deeply enough.
Jan: And in our experience, many important conversations are being avoided, maybe even unintentionally. They're inconvenient, they're messy, they're emotionally charged, a little uncomfortable. They might be ideologically polarized or simply extremely complex.
Kaisa: This is why we have started inconvenient chats, our podcast to create room for some of these conversations. Not with all the answers, but with honest questions. We believe that if something makes you uncomfortable, that's often a sign it's worth exploring. My name is Kaisa
Jan: And my name is Jan and we're two friends who have both been working with climate change, biodiversity loss, anything sustainability for a number of years now. the idea for this podcast is that each week we'll explore a new topic. We want to break it down. We want to discuss different perspectives and explore solutions from other people, from what the world has already come up with, but also what we think. And hopefully we'll feel more comfortable talking about them afterwards.
Kaisa: the episodes will be short and will come out every week. We want to challenge ourselves to think, understand, and to question our assumptions about the world and frankly about ourselves. And we want to learn a bunch on the side.
Jan: So please join us when we're making space for these voices in our heads, the doubts, the fears, the wonderings. We really invite you to come along on that exploration if you want.
Kaisa: By having uncomfortable conversations openly and with curiosity, we hope to invite and encourage dialogues that explore difficult topics with critical thinking, emotional honesty, and kindness in a world that often prioritizes perfection and certainty.
Jan: if it's inconvenient.
Kaisa: Let's chat. Let's go.
Jan: Whenever you're ready, let's go.
Kaisa: Alright. I can hear a pin.
